International football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, an Herbalife Nutrition-sponsored athlete since 2013, was recently named “The Best FIFA Men’s Player” for the second consecutive year.
Skin is the largest organ of our body, have you heard of that? Sure you do!
Eating healthy (tons of greens, water, and fiber), getting enough sleep and a lot of exercise were the stuff that I am guilty of not doing or at least wasn’t able to do these days. Yes, over and over again, motherhood is my excuse. Laughs. Who doesn’t want glowing skin? Most of my mommy friends rave about the miracle of argan oil.
I am in the business of pampering myself lately just to strike a balance with motherhood. Moms, you know how mommyhood is, right? And so, I had my facial, a trim for my mane and a foot spa with gel polish pedicure.
My go to mall is Robinsons Galleria as it doesn’t have that huge crowd and the commute not a hassle compared to its neighbor malls, this is if my agenda is not shopping during SALE. Wandering inside, I discovered Hey Sugar Waxing Salon is newly opened!
I am excited about HortiKultura Filipina 2018. This will be on be on 2-11 February 2018 at the QMC Gardens, Diliman, Quezon City. A festival that will showcase PH’s endemic, indigenous and hybrid plants that aims to promote the Quezon Memorial Circle (QMC) as a showcase place for gardening and horticultural practices in Metro Manila and the entire country. It is celebrated annually, together with its partners, as the largest horticultural event to be held in the Philippines.
We are a homeschooling family, this festival can be a great exposure for our pre-K, I reckon. Definitely something that can pique his interest, one way or another.
Besides my awesome husband, babywearing gives my motherhood journey some sort of ease. That is why whenever there’s an event related to it I take the opportunity to show my support.
Shadrach’s Collection celebrated their 3rd anniversary as a dual celebration with the International Babywearing Week or IBW.
Imagine you are riding in a car with your family; your husband in charge of the steering wheel, your firstborn riding shotgun while you and your second child sitting side by side at the back seat–all strapped with the seat belt traveling to your in-laws. Safe right? No problem. For some unfortunate twist of fate, somebody bumped the left side of your car. Oh, a dent that’s hard to ignore! Nothing you cannot handle because it’s just the car, no member of the family was harmed or earned even a scratch. Question is, is your car insured?
How nice is it to be pampered right? But how nicer it will be when it is in support to World Vision, The Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), or Save Philippine Seas while you get to indulge and rest for a couple of minutes?
Paying our bills or buying grocery items has become a hassle for me. For a yayaless mother, I have to prep my children and myself before I could go out of the house and do some errands. Either that or (most of the time) I will just wait for my husband to pay or buy after his work at 5:00 PM. Is there no easy way for this? That’s what I always ask myself when being given that situation. Over time, I learn to utilize online options available like for grocery items, online banking and shopping some fashion pieces. What I haven’t found yet then was an online store for my kids’ vitamins and medicines. Hassle is an understatement; I hate long lines–a baby on the carrier and a 4-year-old on my one hand. I did not mention the weather here yet. Because a rainy day or super sunny day, both no good for the given situation.
I am a graduate of Computer Science and we don’t have a board exam as technology is ever-changing, thus, we have certifications every now and then.
My sister earned her degree in Psychology last May. After her graduation, I was bothered that she’s thinking of just doing a self-study for their board exam.
It’s always been nice to dine at Max’s Restaurant for our small family. Twas cozy enough provided the budget I can shell out compared to other restaurants available. Yes, I find it affordable for the notable service and ambiance they offer.
But what I haven’t explored yet was their party packages, until we were invited to Chickie Boy’s birthday party.
Moms like myself have so much in our plates–we run the house, yes? One of our duties is to keep our family healthy and away from diseases.
There are tons of letters for vitamins but I’ll focus on Vitamin D as this is what my son is deficient of. It is said that this is needed for calcium absorption among infants. However, 7 out of 10 Filipinos are Vitamin D Deficient. If Vitamin D Concentration in the mother’s breast milk is low (which, as studies show, is usually the case), this may lead to Vitamin D Deficiency in infants.
There are a lot of diapers in the market, and yes you have to find the brand(s) that suits your baby. I saw Merries diaper one afternoon in one of our trips to the supermarket for groceries. I did not pay much attention as I wasn’t familiar with the name.
Luckily, Merries Diapers sent me samples that I can try. I learned that it’s Japan’s #1 baby diaper brand for 10 consecutive years. How exciting that it’s now available in the Philippines!
My husband’s love language is food. Prepare him one and he’ll feel loved. Among Paulo and I, he does well in the kitchen more than I do. So, a snack is what I offer him most of the time.
In finding a car, what did you consider? I remembered Paulo, my husband, checking different forums and reviews before contacting a sales agent.
I always want to try curly hair but was just not brave enough to have it. I’m just so afraid of “what if I would just regret the result”. Obviously, my first stop was the section for curly wigs. There’s tons of choices and colors varies too! Divatress not just offers thousands of wigs but also hair care products.
I got the news that Baby Company is having another sale but for Baby Gears this time. So, I went out yesterday to check for our baby girl’s car seat accessories and scout for a stroller too.
What items do you have in your pantry? I am not a bread type of person but my boys loves Gardenia. The loaf was never absent in our grocery list. Ever. My husband and our little guy loves it for breakfast or snack on it anytime of the day. But I discovered something new from this brand—Pocket Sandwiches!
The mommy behind Kezi Baby the baby shop which offers headbands, shoes or onesies/shirt and terno dresses for mom and toddler experienced exactly the same thing when her Nathalie Keziah was born. She gets comments like “Pogi naman ni Baby” or “Boy yan?” as she only puts on white wardrobe for her newborn baby girl to easily see insects on it etc.
Motherhood has many challenges, that’s what I realized in this almost 4-year journey I’m in. More to come, I’m sure. The latest challenge I face now is how to pursuade my 44-month old little guy to eat what’s on the table and to not ask for hotdogs or corned beef. More so, to plan and come up with inviting, amazing meals for him. Can I sigh on this part? Because I also ran out of meal ideas for my husband’s packed lunch.
