Morena Mom Cooks: Sautéed Broccoli Paired with Fried Tuna

Morena Mom Cooks: Sautéed Broccoli Paired with Fried Tuna

I am a mom with no helper. I juggle everything inside our house except for the laundry as I am also a preggo momma. Overtime I’ve learn the art of multi-tasking (as most moms are, all even) household chores.

That being said, cooking is a different thing. I have to be efficient in doing it. I have to think of EASY meals I should cook for my two children without compromising the taste yet it should still be healthy.

On my list of menu for the week, one of the meals I cooked for them is this Sautéed Broccoli Paired with Fried Tuna. Why did I say that this is a healthy dish for my Eli and Ella? Broccoli and Tuna were good sources of protein, iron, magnesium, carbs, fiber, minerals and potassium. In terms of vitamins, there is a wealth of vitamin B12 and niacin, as well as a good amount of vitamin B6 and riboflavin. My daughter is under a weight gain plan, if I may mention. That’s why I am very intentional of what I feed her (them) these days.

I cooked this for less than 15 minutes maybe while I was also washing the dishes.

INGREDIENTS:

2 slices of tuna (for frying)

Small to medium size broccoli

Chopped onion

1 tbs Garlic

½ tsp salt (both for tuna and sautéed broccoli)

¼ tbs ground pepper

¼ tbs roughly cracked black pepper

Cooking oil

¼ tbs AJI-GINISA® Flavor Seasoning Mix

How to cook?

-Season the fish with salt and pepper

-Fry until cooked, drain the cooking oil used

-Set aside

I’m steaming the broccoli while frying the tuna.

-Steam the broccoli for 5 minutes

-When done, put 1 teaspoon cooking oil on the pan just enough for sautéing the onions and garlic while the tuna is on the other side of the pan

-Put the steamed broccoli

-Sautee everything SLOWLY for a minute or 2 after putting 1/2 tsp AJI-GINISA® Flavor Seasoning Mix to prevent the tuna chunks from breaking apart

-Plate and serve

I opted to steaming the broccoli (first) to save on minutes sautéing it on the pan with the tendency to overcook it or under-cook it. Plus, I learned that steaming is healthier than longer time of sautéing. I just sautéed for a minute or two to mix everything effectively and at least cook the seasoning.

While the Kuya Eli is still sleeping, little Ella is munching on this meal prepared by mommy:

I love how AJI-GINISA® Flavor Seasoning Mix gave flavor to my dishes just enough for my little family to savor every meal’s taste.

And here’s a news from Ajinomoto Philippines Corporation:
