Beko’s ELAP Cook-Off Cycle 2
Beko’s ELAP Cook-Off Cycle 2
If there’s one thing I always love to do, it’s eating. But I am not much of a cook as my husband does the cooking in our home. That’s why I was delighted to witness how parents and their children worked together in preparing delicious, budget-friendly, and healthy meals at the eliminations of Eat Like A Pro: Cook-Off Cycle 2 at Robinsons Metro East in Pasig City last November 16, 2018 until November 18, 2018.
Last August 31, Beko successfully wrapped up the first leg of the Eat Like A Pro: Cook-Off at the Eat Like A Pro: Cook-Off SM Southmall, Activity Center. The winner of the contest took home a Beko kitchen showcase and PHP 10,000-worth of cash prize.
For Cycle 2, eight teams of parent-child tandem competed during the first day of elimination.
To calm the nerves of the participants, FitKids led the “Dancercise” before the competition started.
And to add more fun, the organizers treated everybody at the event a chance for raffle prizes.
The criteria for judging the dishes:
Quality and taste of dish – 35%
Effectiveness of tandem – 35%
Creativity – 20%
Audience impact – 10%

This series of contests is in support of Beko’s Eat Like A Pro (ELAP) advocacy, an information dissemination campaign that seeks to help parents provide healthier food choices for their children. This advocacy seeks to raise awareness about the rapidly growing rates of childhood malnutrition due in the Philippines to unhealthy eating habits.
